Granite Countertop Information

Does anyone have information about granite kitchen sinks?

I am in the market for a new kitchen sink. I saw one at Home Depot today that was not solid granite..it had resins mixed in. Would this be a durable sink? Does anyone have one and can give me any tips on the care of it? It was solid black…very pretty. This sink would be top mounted on a granite looking laminate countertop. Thanks for any information anyone could share with me.

there was a study in consumer reports magazine for kitchen counter tops about 2 years ago. Everything from marble to stainless steel and synthetic types like you are referring to. I would go to the library and look for that issue. I used to get that magazine. They were comparing durability and what resists staining etc. Great article highly recommend it!
