Quartz Countertop Stains
I need some kitchen design help, what type of countertop goes best with this combination?
I have maple cabinets with a chestnut stain (a warm brown, like the color of a chestnut) and a natural hickory hardwood floors. I am ordering quartz counter tops but don’t know if I should go with the black or cream counter tops.
Both look good on the chestnut, but what kind of match/contrast should the counter tops have with the floor? The floors will be a very light color (no stain) and should there be a deep contrast, or should I go with the light counter tops so that everything is brighter?

Here are a couple of pics to look at..similar kitchens and colours but one has light countertops, and one has dark countertops. You can see the big difference it makes. Personally I like the look of dark counters.. I think it makes a more classic and rich look for the kitchen..but if doing this you must ensure proper lighting so your kitchen does not seem like a dungeon…recessed ceiling lights are great for this and definately you will need task lighting under the cupboards..it makes all the difference in the world. The ultimate choice is yours..you will prefer one to the other. Choose your back splash carefully and of course you can always just paint an accent colour instead of a backsplash..this will work well too if you just need some time to think about what you will want if you do not know. Good luck with your choice.
